What CraftScore means
A single star rating hides what actually went wrong — or right. CraftScore is built from verified homeowner reviews scored across eight dimensions of the work, then shown as a simple number out of 10.

How the number is built
Each review scores every dimension. Those scores are averaged across all of a contractor's reviews and expressed on a 0–10 scale. A pro with no reviews yet shows as new rather than being given a score.
Who can leave a review
Reviews come from homeowners, including past clients invited through a private link. Contractors can publicly reply, and can dispute a review they believe is unfair — disputes are reviewed by our team, not resolved automatically.
Money can't move it
Membership level has no effect on CraftScore or on ranking within search results by score. There is no way to buy a better score.
